Chico

My father bought Chico for me when I was 6yrs old and Chico was 2.
Throughout my childhood Chico was my four legged hero.
He was a ear to tell my secrets too and a shoulder to cry on when the world came tumbling in.

Chico and I had many victories, We were five time grand champions in our circuit that we followed, as all round horse of the year.
We did it all barrel racing, pole bending, endurance rides, and just plane everyday adventures.

My dad (John) who is now in spirit always said "Chico ran his heart out for me"

Upon Chico's passing at the age of 34, after his remains had been taken a beautiful butterfly landed where his head had rested on his last breath.

It was what most would describe as crazy because it was March 28th.

My mom had designed my first business cards and banner for me as she pushed me into the public to do readings many years before Chico's passing.

How fitting that it included butterflies. When I decided to redesign my new banner I just knew that it had to have Chico on it.

To this day people come to me because of the picture of the two of us. I like to think that it is his way of looking after me from the other side.

I often smell horses suddenly when I have a moment of doubt or am unsure of how to proceed, and my dad always comes to me with the taste of a cold beer, and also the smell of beer.

It is my reassurance that I am doing the right thing and that although they're not here in the physical that they are very much by my side in spirt. Both my father and Chico went out of there way to help people and that really is my mission with this gift that I have been blessed with.

I was given a second chance and I am trying to use it wisely
